A full soft strip followed by demolition of the entire structure leaving the steel frame in as shoring for the surrounding party walls. Access was extremely tight with it being down an alley and with residential, commercial and a restaurant all neighbours, close liaising with them was vital to complete the works on time and with least amount of distribution to the neighbours. Once the demolition was complete, new drainage, piling and a 450mm raft slab were installed.

A full strip out of the building took place back to the original fabric. The roof and 4th floor were demolished and necessary structural alterations throughout the building were undertaken to allow the installation of three further floors. This included a steel frame and extended brick elevation, new mansard roof and leaving a shell.
